At the Annual Research Awards Ceremony of University of Sri Jayewardenepura 2017<\/a>, the Department of Anthropology received the award ‘Highest\u00a0Citation for the year 2017 in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences’ and became the best Department in the Faculty. This was a victory\u00a0of the collective effort of the academic members of the department as citations of each paper published by them were used in the final highest\u00a0citation calculation.<\/p>\n
