Successful completion and farewell ceremony of the inaugural batch of the History Diploma Program (2020)

The farewell ceremony of the inaugural batch (2020) of the History Diploma program, offered by the Department of History and Archaeology, was successfully held on the 02nd of June 2022, from 9.00 am onwards, at Prof. Mendis Rohanadheera Hall. The students who successfully completed the History Diploma were awarded detailed certificates while the Diploma students extended their gratitude to the department for the substantial knowledge and experience they gained. Furthermore, the establishment of a Past Pupil Association for the History Diploma program was held in parallel. The event was graced by Prof. Gamini Ranasinghe, the Director-General of the Central Cultural Fund, Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, the Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, Prof. P.B. Manadawala, Prof. Pathmasiri Kannangara, Prof. K.M. Alexander, Dr. Sanjeewi Manthrirathne, the Coordinator of the Diploma program, Ms. Samantha Geeganage, the Senior Assistant Registrar of the faculty and the Academic staff and the Non-academic staff of the department.
