The Department of History and Archaeology conducts a Student Awareness Seminar regarding the Quality aspect of their Education and the Faculty QA Cell

As per the decisions taken at the Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) of the FHSS to conduct department-level student awareness programs, the Department of History and Archaeology conducted a student awareness seminar regarding the quality aspect of their education and the Faculty QAC, on the 3rd March 2023, at the Rohanadheera Hall of the department.

Under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Prof. Karunasena Hettiarachchi, the Department Representative for the QAC of the Department of History and Archaeology, Sen. Lect. (Mrs.) U.N.K. Rathnayaka, was the resource person for the seminar upon her vast experience in this regard. The awareness seminar mainly covered the aspects of Quality Assurance (QA), Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF), Subject Benchmark Statement (SBS), Programme Review (PR) and Self-Evaluation Report (SER), the process of PR and the contribution expected by the department from the undergraduate students. The session was followed by a Q&A session and collecting student feedback to measure their level of awareness.
