The History and Archaeology Students’ Association of the Department of History and Archaeology, organized an ‘O/L History Revision Seminar’ targeting the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination-2023, on the 16th February 2023, at Hinguralakanda Maha Vidyalaya, Dehiowita, with the participation of O/L students from Godagampala Maha Vidyalaya, Ambalanpitiya Maha Vidyalaya, Yogama Vidyalaya and Hinguralakanda Maha Vidyalaya.
The revision seminar consisted of sessions covering the MCQ questions, Map marking and Structured essay-type questions based on the O/L History past exam papers and the syllabus. Furthermore, each student was given attention to solve and clarify subject-related matters that arose to them from the sessions and past papers. In addition, the students were motivated by discussing how to face an exam successfully.
The resource persons of the seminar were Lect. (Prob.) Damith Ranagala and undergraduate students representing the History and Archaeology Students’ Association. The seminar was much appreciated by the participating students and they were grateful to the university for conducting such a successful seminar.
