With the objective of venerating Lord Buddha with the spirit of giving and celebrating the annual Vesak Poya Day, the Students Association of the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized a ‘Vesak Dansela’ on the 03rd May 2023 at the Faculty premises.
Under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Prof. Karunasena Hettiarchchi, the Students Association of the Department of History and Archaeology together with the support of the academic and non-academic staff of the department, gave away manioc and achcharu to hundreds of participants to the dansela, achieving the spiritual objectives of the event, just in advance to the Vesak Poya Day.
