Newly build\u00a0Mindfulness Based Research Room at the\u00a0Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies<\/a>\u00a0in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was opened at a auspicious time on 11th January 2018 by Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Sudantha Liyanage, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Hemanthi Ranasinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Prof.\u00a0S. G. Yasawardene, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Prof. Anura U. Kumara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Prof. Charmalie Nahallage, Director of the\u00a0Multidisciplinary Research Center,\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0and many academic members and non academic members of the University participated in this opening ceremony and also in the Meditation Programme which was conducted by\u00a0Rev. Prof. Medagampitiye Vijithadhamma, Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies after the opening ceremony.\u00a0\u00a0This\u00a0Mindfulness Based Research Room was made a reality with the financial support of the\u00a0Multidisciplinary Research Center<\/a>of the Faculty.<\/p>\n
