Wijithadhamma<\/a>, Head of the\u00a0Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies<\/a>, in\u00a0the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0 University of Sri Jayewardenepura was awarded the prestigious \u201cBuddhist Literary Award-2018\u2019 for his latest work, \u201cDasa-bodhisattuppatti-kath\u0101 A\u1e6d\u1e6dhakath\u0101\u201d (\u0daf\u0dc3\u0db6\u0ddd\u0db0\u0dd2\u0dc3\u0dad\u0dca\u0dad\u0dd4\u0db4\u0dca\u0db4\u0dad\u0dca\u0dad\u0dd2\u0d9a\u0dae\u0dcf \u0d85\u0da7\u0dca\u0da8\u0d9a\u0dad\u0dcf) (Commentary on the Birth Stories of Ten (Future) Bodhisatvas). The award for the Best Academic Research was presented by Most Venerable Mahanayaka Thera of Asgiriya Chapter of Siam Mahanikaya at the \u201cBuddhist Literary Awards Ceremony \u2013 2018\u201d held on 14th September 2018 at BMICH, Colombo.<\/p>\n
