An\u00a0introductory orientation program for 45\u00a0undergraduates and academic members of the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura organized by the Colombo American Center was held on 8th of January 2020.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0orientation program included workshops on the existing courses at the American center such as cording, web\u00a0improvement, 3d printing and\u00a0innovation,\u00a0Spoken English and\u00a0Business English classes,\u00a0leadership development and public speaking classes, Scholarship opportunities, and especially\u00a0USA E-library\u00a0access facilities.<\/p>\n

This program will support to build and strengthen the future aspirations of the FHSS undergraduates to study in the USA and at the same time to develop mutual understanding.<\/p>\n

Prior to this session Youth form of American center, Colombo conducted an activity-based interactive session on leadership development. American center youth forum is the main voluntarily supporting groups that support to conduct and execute innovative indoor and outdoor events. Each of these youth forums consists of 15 to 25 youth groups including school leavers, undergraduates, and school students.<\/p>\n
