In 2014, the small tank in the Rajagala archaeological premises, which had been ruined over thousand years, was reconstructed by the funds of University of Sri Jayewardenepura under the mediation of the Vice-Chancellor at that period, as a felicitation to the founding Vice-Chancellor, most honorable Ven. Weliwitiye Sri Soratha Thero.<\/p>\n

In order to remark the reconstruction of this tank by the funds of the university, a name plaque was unveiled by Prof. Sampath Amaratunge; Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura at the ceremony of the enshrinement of sacred relics in the conserved Rajagala Stupa, \u00a0which was held in 16th<\/sup> of October 2018. In addition, Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara and a large number of academic members participated in this event.<\/p>\n
